In support of the Association of Southeastern Biologists (ASB), the co-sponsor of our Southeastern Naturalist journal, at their request, we started publishing a journal on laboratory-based biological research that came to be published under the title, eBio. It is intended to serve researchers who are based at colleges and universities, including those who are mentoring graduate students. It publishes articles that do not involve field studies of natural history.
ASB is the oldest biology organization in the United States. It serves the interests of all biologists in biology departments in the southeastern United States. The logical pairing of the Southeastern Naturalist and eBio helps ASB to meet the full-spectrum publishing interests of its members.
While eBio was founded at the suggestion of ASB, it serves the publishing needs of researchers, regardless of where they conduct their research.
