The Pan-American Paleontologist (ISSN 3066-117X, online) is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original articles and notes on the paleontology of all of the Americas, including the Caribbean. It was formerly issued as the Eastern Paleontologist (ISSN 2475-5117).
Why transition to a journal with a broader geographic focus?
The Pan-American Paleontologist is indexed by way of author entries in Google Scholar and ResearchGate. Its indexing coverage is expected to become comparable to that of the Institute's first 3 journals (Northeastern Naturalist, Southeastern Naturalist, and Journal of the North Atlantic) which are indexed in Web of Science (clarivate.com).
• over 25 years of timely peer-review and publication of manuscripts.
• article-by-article online publication for distribution to a global audience.
• expertise to facilitate the publication of special issues.
• inclusion of supplemental files with journal articles.
The journal is published by the Eagle Hill Institute, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation of the State of Maine (Federal tax ID # 010379899).
