The potentials of the world of the arts at Eagle Hill are becoming ever clearer. The art collection already now helps to elegantly set the tone for cultured concert evenings during which musicians and guests share an amiable setting that inspires a deeply human appreciation of who we each are.
We are taking precious end-of-year time to consolidate what we have learned from listening to our musicians and our concert guests by working on re-envisaging how the world of music and the world of the arts at Eagle Hill are evolving in tandem.
By way of a fine example of how the world of the arts and the world of music are intriguingly intertwined here at Eagle Hill, consider this massive bronze sculpture that is arriving in the near future, by Henri-Michel-Antoine Chapu from 1877, titled La Pensée, The Thinker.
We are earnestly working on expanding our commitment to the world of the arts by inviting more formal participation in all aspects of what it takes to expand our commitments to museum quality works of art, while also seeking to engage with contemporary artists.
The end of the year is always a time of transition and reflection. During the past few weeks, we have been revising the pitch of both our art webpages and our music webpages and have been adding much-needed new webpages. By browsing ... eaglehill.us/art ... You will see that there is much that is new that is worthy of your consideration.
For example, by way of now having three Advisory Boards, we are better able to engage with art historians, art conservators, and contemporary artists. In each case, members make special efforts to raise challenging questions, make suggestions and comments, and introduce others to help us broaden the support base for the arts at Eagle Hill. Their efforts deserve to be noticed.
We have also added a Volunteers webpage to recognize those who are making special efforts to help us in various ways to expand our commitments to the arts. Our volunteers suggested that we add a webpage that lists diverse opportunities for those who might like to consider volunteering. What are your special interests and social goals with regard to the arts?
By way of our new Arts Executive Board webpage, we are making it clear that we are seeking engagement with those who have leadership skills who would like to play an administrative oversight role in guiding the future of the world of the arts at Eagle Hill. They will be in a position to help decide the extent to which and the ways in which our collective commitment to the world of the arts can be and should be expanded beyond what we are currently offering.
Lastly, our new Donors webpage recognizes that we are working with a global architectural firm which is keenly interested in developing plans for the construction of a multi-mission cultural center on the western slope of Eagle Hill, which will be primarily structured as a fine art museum.
We welcome your comments, suggestions and questions. Please donate.
We are starting an Art and Museum email list.
