The venerable tradition of hosting music performances in venues that are not fully dedicated to music is globally appreciated. Such performances serve as welcome cultural interludes.
The institute's chamber concerts started with just a few annual concerts during their early years, but interest in them has grown to the point that we now host about 20 concerts each year, mostly of classical music, but more recently also all-original jazz music, as well as Asian music.
Discussions among our musicians and guests have encouraged an expanded commitment to the world of music at Eagle Hill, that includes plans for a new home for the music program in the cultural center that is planned on the western slope. It will include a larger performance venue, as well as spaces that will allow us to more comfortably host master seminars for musicians, as well as resident musicians.
