What is missing?

Image of some kind

While there is a clear emerging pattern in the evolution of Eagle Hill, surely, something is missing.

We have long been mindful that Eagle Hill does not have field biologists in residence for longer stays in the summer in order to participate in surveys or conduct research projects in eastern Maine. This is so, because the housing is limited and the campus is fully dedicated in summers to our in-person training seminars.

What is missing the rest of the year? … The fall, winter, and spring are delightfully quiet and contemplative times of year at Eagle Hill. We are mindful that we have not yet been able to open Eagle Hill during these times on a self-directed study basis, with occasional exceptions, to those who seek a quiet and contemplative retreat on the eastern Maine coast to pursue their interests. This is so, because the accommodations are field-station-style and not designed for the rugged Maine winter, but mostly because there are no individual study rooms within which guests can concentrate.
