Genre painting Wilhelm Löwith (German, 1861-1932) Two Gentlemen Conversing Earnestly over Wine with Pipes in a Tavern Wilhelm Löwith was born Drosau, now in the Czech Republic. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. In 1902 he was named Professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich by the Prince Regent Luitpold of the Kingdom of Bavaria.
