Call for Workshops, Field Trips, and other Special Events

Proposals for educational workshops for Friday April 4 or the evening of Saturday April 5 are welcome. Workshops are considered ticketed events, for which separate advanced registration is required by March 31. Workshop organizers may charge a participation fee to cover costs.

Proposals for field trips or other special events on Friday April 19 are also welcome. These events will also be considered ticketed events, for which separate advanced registration is required by March 31. Field trip organizers may charge a participation fee to cover costs.

The deadline for workshop, field trip, and special event proposals is March 16, but note that the earlier we can post your event, the more time attendees will have to sign up for it and hnce the more likely it will attract interest.

Except if otherwise noted, transportation from the convention center to the field trip destination will be via carpooling. Prior to the conference, we will forward the names and email addresses of all those who sign up for a field trip to the field trip organizer, who will contact each participant in advance to provide all necessary details (e.g., meeting place and time, things to bring, etc.). The same applies to workshops which are scheduled for a location offsite of the convention center.

Please note that while participants in all workshops, field trips, and special events associated with the conference need to be registered for the conference, those wishing to organize and/or lead any such functions only need to register if they are planning on attending any of the other conference activities.
