Announcing the 2025 Northeast Natural History Conference

... back in Springfield!!

We have held the conference in Springfield many times now and found it to be a first rate venue, with lots of positive comments from attendees. Thus, we are excited to once again bring the meeting there for 2025.

You won't want to miss the Northeast's largest regional forum for researchers, natural resource managers, students, and naturalists to present current information on the varied aspects of applied field biology (freshwater, marine, and terrestrial) and natural history for the Northeastern United States and adjacent Canada. It will serve as a premier venue to identify research and management needs, foster friendships and collegial relationships, and encourage a greater region-wide interest in natural history by bringing people with diverse backgrounds together. Every year, we receive affirmative feedback about how friendly, collegial, and enjoyable the conference is and how it is especially welcoming of and valuable to students.

Registration is now open!

Now accepting proposals for workshops, field trips, and special events

Call for participating organizations

Call for exhibitors

To help encourage a particularly engaging conference program and in recognition of the effort that goes into soliciting speakers and putting together a cohesive, informative session, this year we again will be offering a rebate of 50% off the conference registration fee to those who propose a session and successfully recruit presentations to fill it.

Call for Coordinators and Judges for Student Poster Presentation Awards

We are looking for an individual or two to serve as coordinators of the Poster Judging so we can continue to offer this valuable and much appreciated aspect of the conference. Past coordinators Carmen and Amy developed a protocol, information packets, and judging forms that all seem to work quite well, which this year's corrdinator(s) can use and/or modify as they see fit. Judging Coordinators will receive complimentary conference registration. If you are interested in spearheading this effort, please contact us!

We are also looking for volunteer judges to decide recipients for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards, with cash prizes of $300, $200, and $100, respectively, in each category.

Volunteer judges will be invited to a complimentary Saturday dinner. If you are interested in volunteering, please indicate your willingness by checking the box on your registration form.
