To correct an omission in their manuscript entitled “Sporormiella tela, a New Species of Pleosporales from Dung of Geese” published earlier this year in the Northeastern Naturalist, the authors offer the following correction:
The herbarium location was omitted from the species description of Sporormiella tela, published in Northeastern Naturalist, Volume 31, Issue 1 (2024):54–63. It has been added as follows and the name is validated herein:
Sporormiella tela S. Jakob & M.J. Richardson, sp. nov. MB 854678
For a detailed description see Jakob et al., Northeastern. Naturalist 31(1):56 (2024).
Holotype: USA, New York, Bronx, Van Cortlandt Park, on dung of Branta canadensis collected on grassy field, 26 Feb. 2023, S. Jakob (Herb. NY).
